PLEASE NOTE THAT, this site is
not run by Sis DeWitt, nor do we have her email or a way to contact her.
She no longer gives the fireside, so this copy of the fireside is pretty
much the only way to see the fireside. Sorry!
Wendy DeWitt has given
me permission to offer her fireside on this site for you to view or to
copy off and burn your own DVD to show. If you would like to burn a copy
of this fireside please scroll down for more information,
A note from
Wendy DeWitt (dated 7/21/09): I'm working on an updated
book right now for BYU broadcasting. They're going to film my class and
put it into 3 (1/2 hour) segments for Living Essentials on BYU tv. We
don't start filming until November so I don't know when it will air.
Uploading this movie clip for all to watch is proving to be harder then I first
thought, I am still working on it For some reason the sound is
off with the picture in this flash version of the fireside, I am working on
getting that fixed, and it might not play the whole way through, but the movie clip you can download is fine!
(Updated July 23, 2008)
Click to start, it takes about 6 seconds for it to
start.
Her booklet she talks
about at this fireside is also available on this link:

In Wendy Dewitt's fireside she talks about a really neat water
storage idea that they have at the fireside that night, she
notes that it is in the back of the room, but the camera does
not show it, what she was talking about, is a rack that holds
fifty-five gallon drums of water HORIZONTALLY so the water can
be extracted simply by turning on a faucet. No pumps, no
siphons. Click

If you want a
copy of this DVD, I will be happy to share it with you.
There is a
problem, this file is about 1.20 GB that is a huge file, and
downloading it may take HOURS! ( when I did a practice download
it only took 70 minutes, I have Cox for my internet which is high
speed cable.)
The download is
a movie file, which can be played right from your computer,
using your windows media (for those with apples see the notes at
that the right) if you don't want to burn a t DVD you can always
play it from your computer, hook up a project to your lap top
and show it on a larger screen.
I understand the
thought of downloading it and burning it to a DVD sounds a
little overwhelming for some, but I ask that you please try to
download it and burn it first before emailing and asking me
about burning one for you, it is not that I am mean and don't
want to, it is just that I end up spending my whole day burning
DVD's for people! I hope you can understand!! I would prefer NOT
to burn DVD's for people. Thanks Liz
