I was trying desperately to come up with something fun for primary for this 5th Sunday and my song leader suggested doing charades or pictionary.  I took it one step further and made a game of Cranium.  I

Anyway, I here is what we did. 

   I had 3 categories: red-data head, yellow-star performer, and blue-creative cat.  Under the data head category there were selectaquests (multiple choice), factoids (questions) and polygraphs (T/F).  Star performer had humdingers (hum a song and they have to guess), cameos (charades) and another category that they act like the person but can't say names or places.  For creative cat, we had cloodles (pictionary), sensosketch (draw with eyes closed), and sculpturades (make something out of play dough).

  I also made a die (found a template online) and colored two sides red, two yellow and two blue. 

   I had the kids divide into two teams.  We didn't really keep score and they didn't notice either;.
The separate teams were just so more kids would have the opportunity to have a turn.  At the beginning of a round, someone would come up from each team.  One would roll to select the category and the other would pick a card from that category.  Then, depending on the card, they would act, hum, draw, or sculpt to their side at the same time and the first team to guess won the round.  Most of the time, we just waited until both teams had it and said the answer all together. 

   It was so fun, and the teachers even got into it.
The little sunbeams were able to play too, with a little help from the leaders.  We will definitely be playing this again!
