A Bright Light for Generations

“We desire to have our lamps trimmed and burning that we may be prepared to meet Him.”

—Lucy W. Smith, “Guide Work 1917-18,”

It has … been wisdom in God that these things should be preserved; for behold, they have enlarged the memory of this people, … and brought them to the knowledge of their God unto the salvation of their souls” (Alma 37:8).

Our History

Our Stories

“Each of us has a heritage—whether from pioneer forebears, later converts, or others who helped to shape our lives. This heritage provides a foundation built of sacrifice and faith. Ours is the privilege and responsibility to build on such firm and stable footings.”

—President Thomas S. Monson, “Treasure of Eternal Value,” Liahona, April 2008
