Last year during the gathering time, we had the boys go through the Department of Pinewood Vehicles, where they had to take a "written test", an eye exam, and where we measured and photographed them for their licenses. Then while the races were being run, the licenses were printed and laminated. The written test consisted of questions about pinewood derby cars. The boys enjoyed earning their licenses.
