The space derby is where the boys are given kits to build a rubber band- powered rocket. The boy’s race the 
rockets by hanging them from a wire and letting the wind-up propeller propel them forward. The rockets are made of either Styrofoam or balsa wood. The race is informal and just for fun * there is no timing or trophies.
The time has come for me to be honest with myself, that I just can't keep up with this site any more. I am working full time now and loving on my grandkids.
