Hats off to you
We did a YWIE hats off to you night too – last year and it went great! We decorated the whole room with hats as well, and talked about the different hats they’ll have to wear in life. For our invitations I made all different type hats (toque – or winter hat if you’re American, cowboy hat, baseball hat etc.) and made it a magnet so they could stick it to their fridge. I made up a little poem on the back to clue them into what it would be.
It said,
Through life’s journey one must go,
The path to take each girl must know.
The hats she will wear,
Are learned with care,
So when presented with a choice,
She will have a strong voice.
So obviously each hat is going to teach her a value or something that when she has to make a decision in her life, that value will help her. Thought you might want to use it. Good luck!
