Solveig Paulson Russell, “Christmas Colors,” Friend, Dec. 1977, inside back cover

Red for the holly berries,
And white for the mistletoe,
Green for the pines and fir trees,
Orange for the candles’ glow.

Gold for the gleam of angels
And for the stars’ bright light,
Silver for wise men’s trappings
That twinkled in starry light.

Blue for Mary’s mantle,
Yellow for clean fresh hay
That filled the stone-hewn manger
Where Baby Jesus lay.

I am working full time now and loving on my grandkids.  I will still be adding great quotes I find and things from General conference etc. Never fear, I am still here for you. If you need something please reach out to me, and I will See what I can do. You can reach me at theideadoor@gmail.com
